Millions of people already do informal local work. The only question is who takes a cut. We decided it shouldn't be us.

The UK has millions of people doing informal day work — cleaners, gardeners, event crew, labourers, dog walkers. Most of them find work through word of mouth, WhatsApp groups, or platforms that take a cut of every job they do. We thought that was wrong.
GRAFTR started from a simple question: what if the platform just got out of the way? No commission. No algorithm deciding what you're worth. Just real people, real jobs, real close.
We built for Manchester first because doing one city properly beats doing ten cities badly. Liverpool is next. Then the rest of the North.
Three Principles
🔨
Work belongs to the worker.
The person doing the job should keep what they earn. No agency, no platform, no algorithm should take a cut of someone's wages.
🤝
Honest means honest.
Match scores explained. Pricing published. No hidden fees. No dark patterns. If we ever change something, we'll tell you.
📍
Local is everything.
Real jobs, real close. Built for Manchester and Liverpool because community can't be automated.
Our Commitment
GRAFTR earns from subscriptions and optional visibility products. Never from the work itself. That's not just a policy — it's the point.
